Check-in & checkout

  • Check-in: 4:00 PM  ·  Checkout: 11:00 AM
  • Keyless entry: your door code and Wi‑Fi details are in your booking messages (and Wi‑Fi is posted inside). We never post them online.
  • To lock from the outside, close the door and press the Schlage button.
  • Quiet hours: 10 PM – 6 AM. Please be kind to neighbors.
  • Please take shoes off inside — it keeps the space clean and cozy.
  • Checkout: please toss trash, turn things off and lock up — the full list is in your booking app.

Your home

  • Your door: the brown door on the right side of the property — just two steps up from the walkway, no stairs with luggage.
  • Backup key: we have a physical key if you ever need it — just message us.
  • Parking: use your assigned stall on the right. Two compact overflow stalls along the fence are shared with the upstairs unit, and there’s free street parking for extra cars. The gate stays open.
  • Backyard: the fenced backyard is yours alone; the front yard is shared with the upstairs unit.
  • Traveling with a pup? Please scoop the backyard before checkout. Seward Park is great for leashed walks.
  • Quiet & cozy: the ceiling has a sound barrier, so most guests hear little more than the occasional footstep from upstairs.
  • Supplies: starter paper towels and toilet paper (extra rolls under the bathroom sink). Longer stays may need a grocery run.

Where to eat

These are our go-to spots around South Seattle and beyond.

Close to home (Columbia City & Rainier Valley)

  • Island Soul — Caribbean-Southern comfort food, vegetarian options and live music. Don’t skip the coconut corn muffins.
  • Full Tilt Ice Cream — creative flavors plus old-school arcade games. A hit with kids.
  • Geraldine’s Counter — classic American breakfast; famous French toast. Expect a weekend line.
  • Q Bakery Sandwiches — fresh baguettes, bánh mì and inexpensive Vietnamese coffee. Worth trying if you’ve never had it.
  • Rainier Restaurant — no-frills, authentic Vietnamese (it got an Anthony Bourdain shout-out).
  • PCC Community Markets – Columbia City — groceries, organic produce and a big deli with seating.

Worth the drive

  • Mike’s Noodle House (Chinatown–International District) — Cantonese noodle soup and congee; great broth, easy on the wallet.
  • Crawfish House (White Center) — Cajun-style crawfish, crab and shrimp by the pound. Bring a group and wear something washable.
  • Hangar Cafe (Georgetown) — sweet and savory crepes on a garden patio, with planes flying overhead.
  • Marination Ma Kai (Alki) — Korean-Hawaiian plates with a view of downtown across the water.
  • Palisade (Magnolia) — seafood and steak with water views; book for sunset.
  • Japonessa (downtown) and Umi Sake House (Belltown) — sushi with good happy hours.

Hours change — please check before you go.

Things to do

Near you

  • Seward Park — old-growth forest, big playgrounds and a flat 2.4-mile lakeside loop.
  • Westfield Southcenter — 200+ stores, restaurants and an IMAX theater.

Seattle classics

  • Pike Place Market — the must-see; watch the fish fly.
  • Space Needle and the Seattle Great Wheel on the waterfront.
  • Columbia Center Sky View Observatory — the tallest view in Washington, and usually shorter lines than the Needle.
  • Olympic Sculpture Park & the waterfront — free, beautiful, with Space Needle views.
  • Alki Beach — skyline views, beach walks and the water taxi to downtown.
  • Fremont Troll — a giant troll under a bridge. Kids love the photo op.

Day trips

  • Mount Rainier National Park — wildflowers in summer; bring bug spray.
  • Victoria, BC — the FRS Clipper ferry leaves from downtown Seattle (passports required).

Getting around

  • Link light rail runs from SeaTac Airport through Rainier Valley to downtown, Capitol Hill and the U District — an easy way to skip downtown parking.
  • Rideshare is plentiful; downtown parking garages are pricey, so transit is often easier.
